Photos: Governor Udom Equips Civil Servants for Paperless Civil Service through Robust ICT Training

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Deac. Udom Emmanuel, since assumption of office in 2015 has demonstrated passion to positively alter the narrative of Civil Servants in the State.

Passion is an unrivalled emotion, a fuel that can fire up any person to achieve the unthinkable. The same has fueled the governor to reposition the service by ensuring that all civil servants in the state employ are ICT compliant.

This same passion has been transferred to all the civil servants and the state as a whole through the dakkada philosophy which urges all to rise to the faith of greatness.

This passion was visible in the eyes of civil servants at the ICT training Centre, Accountant General's Office, Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat -Uyo,  as they listened to experienced tutors take them through ICT skills that would transform their lives.

For the two weeks, the trainees soaked up all that the tutors had in stock for them. Moreover, the tutors came prepared with exciting ways to break down what could have been technical.

The fire and inquisitiveness in the trainees was obvious as they asked questions with fervor. The day grew to a close and not once did their drive to learn wane.

Now the civil servants are battle ready to transit from paper-based work in their respective offices to paperless-based work.

The two weeks training draws participants from different government ministries,  departments and agencies. It is continuously being rotated with a target of training all civil servants in the state.

What a giant stride!  It can be #OnlyGod.
