Nigeria defeat Argentina to qualify for quarter-final at FIBA Women's World Cup

Nigeria’s women senior basketball team, D’Tigress, have kept their promise to avenge for the Super Eagles who exited Russia 2018 due to the defeat by the Argentine Football team led by Lionel Messi by defeating Argentina in the ongoing FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Spain in their last group game on Tuesday. 

D’Tigeress team booked their spot in the quarter final by defeating the South Americans  75-70 to book their place among the last eight teams.

The win comes just two days after the Nigerian team claimed their first-ever win against Turkey at the 2018 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup on Sunday night.
