A’Ibom: Participants still counting their blessings after the #ONEdigital training

Months after the #ONEdigital training programme held in the 3-Senatorial districts of Akwa Ibom State, participants are still counting their blessings.

Recall that the #ONEdigital was sponsored by Obong Nsima Ekere, the MD/CEO of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and 2019 governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State under the All Progressive Congress (APC) and over 300 participants benefitted from the training.

With the honorarium and skills acquired at the #ONEdigital training, some participants have gone on to start their own blogging businesses, mini money banks, courier companies, bulk SMS business, recharge card printing business, amongst other businesses.

Speaking exclusively to FireDirect, one of the participants who pleaded anonymity said that although he was already managing two blogs as at the time of the #ONEdigital training, insights by Akwa Ibom’s finest blogger, Ediong Umoh, was all it took for him to repackage his blogs for profitability.

Another participant who is the editor of one of the local tabloids said that the training has offered him the opportunity to have a robust online presence and expand the distribution of his tabloids.

Another participant who simply introduced herself as Patricia said that with a man like Obong Nsima Ekere, more young persons will be empowered and gainfully employed. She prayed God to help him (ONE) occupy the Hilltop Mansion come 2019.
