Akwa Ibom 2018: National Workshop on Petroleum Tanker Safety Conference (Photos)

Yesterday, the National Workshop on Petroleum Tanker Safety Conference was declared open on behalf of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Deac. Udom Emmanuel by Mr. Orman Esin, Honourable Commissioner for Petroleum and Transport.

The Conference which has as its theme: Accident prevention, the role of government: from a safety engineering perspective, is organized by Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers (A division of Nigerian Society of Engineers).

In attendance at the conference were Engr. A. B. Oyedepo FNSE, FNISafetyE - National Chairman, Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers, Engr. Godwin Umoh, Mr. Ubong Umoh - Head of Akwa Ibom State Fire Service, Hon. Hakeem Dickson - DG, Lagos State Safety Commission, Engr. Akaninyene Ekong MNSE, FNISafetyE - National Vice Chairman and Pioneer Chairman Akwa Ibom State Chapter of NISafetyE, amongst other dignitaries from all over Nigeria.

The conference which commenced on Wednesday will end on Friday, 16th November, 2018 with an Annual General Meeting. Venue of the conference is Ibom E-Library Complex.
