ASUU strike: FG and ASUU meeting end in deadlock

The meeting between the Federal Government and the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over its ongoing nationwide strike has ended in deadlock.

According to Channels,  they failed to reach an agreement after a closed-door meeting held at the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja, presided over by the Minister of Education, Mr Adamu Adamu, ended without a resolution.

Speaking to reporters at the end of the meeting which lasted for at least three hours, National President of ASUU, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, said that the meeting to resolve the over three weeks industrial action would continue at a later date.
