Nigerian OAP, Itoro Lawrence, needs help to walk again following a robbery attack in 2016 which left her unable to walk unaided

Itoro Lawrence (Popularly known as Aity Lawrence), an On-Air-Personality (OAP) with Akwa Ibom State Broadcasting Corporation (AKBC), needs help to walk again following a robbery attack in 2016 which left her unable to walk unaided. 

According to a facebook post by Samuel Abasiekong-abasiekong on Tuesday, December 11, 2018,  the OAP is appealing for financial aid of about N20million to seek medical treatment to be back on her feets again as she battles pains and struggles with her wheel chair and clutches.

Her story:

"Armed robbers broke into my house in 2016, took my valuables & beat me silly at the back, with a thick iron rod, worsening my already bad spine! 2days after the incident, the pains at my back worsened. 

I had terrible shocking sensations from my waist coursing down my legs. I couldn't walk except with crutches! Scans & tests revealed that I'd LUMBAR SPONDOLYSIS WITH DISCITIS which required a spinal decompression surgery. 

I underwent the 1st surgery in June 2017, it wasn't quite successful. I underwent yet another in  February 2018, but the intended instrumentation to stabilize my spine couldn't be done due to intraoperative bleeding, the surgery had to be suspended so I could be resuscitated. (Thanks to the Akwa Ibom State Government & the NDDC who made the surgeries possible) Sad to say here, that presently, i cannot walk unaided. 

The pains are still excruciating. The shocking sensations are bad. My hands & legs are numb. I manage to go to work with a walker. I'm permanently in pains and on medication. My neurosurgeon recently recommended an urgent surgery to stop further degeneration of my spine. Soliciting for financial assistance from friends maybe very shameful, but my life is at stake here! I need urgent help."

Aity Lawrence needs about 20M to be back on her feets again as she battles pains and struggles with her wheel chair and clutches.
